In 2016, Wendi Locatelli was diagnosed with septic shock. She survived sepsis only to watch her limbs fall victim to its side affects. She became a quadruple amputee and was tasked with explaining to her three young children that she no longer had her hands and feet. Wendi wrote this book to help parents navigate these challenging conversations while making their children feel safe, loved, and supported. Her hope is that their message helps to spread acceptance and understanding to future generations.
